The BowWow Place

Laura Herrmann 

Laura is the owner and course coordinator for The BowWow Place.  She received her BSN from St. Olaf College.  Her nurse anesthesia education and Masters in Nursing were received at the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis VA School of Anesthesia.  She has been practicing nursing for 30 years, and nurse anesthesia for 10 years.  Laura has taught life support courses for 23 years, and began her business 8 years ago.  She is a member of the HCMC EMS Education Community Training Center (ASHI and AHA instructor) and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists  (AANA).

 

Laura works at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, and for the locum tenens agency GABA mainly at Phillips Eye Institute and St. Cloud Surgery Center.  She also does locum work for Sibley Medical Center (Arlington, MN), MN Valley Health Care Center (Le Seuer, MN) and Monticello-Big Lake Hospital.  In her free time she enjoys flying single-engine airplanes, spending time with her dogs Katie and Koda, and working on home improvement projects.  She is the maintenance director for the Twin City Cloud Seven Flying Club.

 

 

Here's Katie in the back seat of N761SP, a Cessna 210.  She's waiting to get out and enjoy a fun vacation in Colorado.  Katie is a Bernese/Newfie/Collie mix. 

Company history

The BowWow Place has been in business since 2001.  The home office is located about 45 minutes west of Minneapolis in the town of St. Bonifacius.
